About the Executive Team
The Executive team drives alignment, execution, and focus across Mixpanel’s most strategic priorities. By working directly with the CEO, executive team, and board, this group ensures the company scales with discipline, clarity, and ambition. The Chief of Staff plays a pivotal role in amplifying leadership impact and strengthening Mixpanel’s operating rhythm.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to partner directly with Mixpanel’s CEO and executive team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of strategy and operations. You’ll lead Mixpanel’s operating cadence, drive cross-functional strategic projects, and act as a trusted advisor to the CEO. This role is structured as an 18–24 month “tour of duty,” after which the Chief of Staff is expected to transition into a senior operating role at Mixpanel (e.g., GM, VP Strategy & Operations, or functional leadership).
Responsibilities

Drive the CEO’s agenda by aligning company priorities with the most material value-creation opportunities.

Lead Mixpanel’s operating cadence, including OKRs, quarterly business reviews, executive staff meetings, and global leadership offsites.

Partner with the CEO and CFO to prepare board materials, investor updates, and fundraising deliverables.

Lead and manage cross-functional initiatives such as AI roadmap acceleration, international expansion, and M&A evaluation.

Collaborate with Product and GTM leaders to design and operationalize high-potential growth bets.

Establish frameworks, KPIs, and reporting to track execution of Mixpanel’s strategic plan.

Shape CEO communications, including all-hands, board updates, and investor letters.

Identify structural or operational bottlenecks; recommend and implement solutions.

Partner with People and Finance leaders on org design, resource allocation, and senior talent planning.

Ensure clarity, accountability, and alignment across the executive team and broader leadership group.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has

Experience across management consulting, investment banking, venture capital/private equity, or operating roles in high-growth SaaS.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives at the executive level.

Track record of delivering high-quality board-level materials and executive communications.

Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into concise insights.

High emotional intelligence and executive presence, capable of building trust with senior leaders and the board.
Bonus Points For

Experience in a Chief of Staff or senior strategy/operations role in a SaaS environment.

Compensation
The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors. If you have questions about the specific range, your recruiter can share this information.

$216,500 - $292,500 USD
