Job Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dallas, Texas, on the marketing team reporting to the VP of Marketing. We are looking for a data-driven and creative Email & SMS Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy, execution, optimization, and performance tracking of our email and SMS campaigns to maximize customer engagement, retention, and revenue. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful messaging that aligns with our brand platform and overall business objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, build, and deploy email and SMS marketing campaigns using Klaviyo and Attentive.
- Build an email/sms content calendar that includes a variety of product and brand stories and that aligns with the larger integrated marketing strategy and goals of the business.
- Own the customer lifecycle strategy, including welcome, abandoned cart, re-engagement, and post-purchase flows.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and continuously optimize based on data insights.
- Manage audience segmentation and personalization strategies to improve engagement, relevance and LTV.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure messaging is on-brand and visually engaging.
- Conduct A/B testing to identify best-performing content, subject lines, send times, and offers.
Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., TCPA, GDPR, CAN-SPAM). - Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in email and SMS marketing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing email and SMS campaigns, ideally for a DTC retailer.
- Proficient in email/SMS platforms such as Klaviyo and Attentive (or similar).
- Experience working in Shopify, Salesforce, or other e-commerce ecosystems.
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable with campaign reporting, KPIs, and Google Analytics.
- Understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle marketing.
- Extremely detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong cross functional communicator/collaborator.
- Creative eye for design and messaging that converts.
- Knowledge of customer retention strategies and loyalty programs.
- Eager to learn with the ability to work quickly and efficiently, often balancing multiple tasks.
