AFL-Strength and Conditioning Coach (Seasonal)

Phoenix, Arizona

Create and manage a daily Strength & Conditioning schedule throughout the season for players from five different MLB organizations, including the recording of daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor position player and pitcher strength programs in the weight room during the entire season
  • Lead the on-field and off-field conditioning and agility program for position players and pitchers.
  • Lead team stretch before batting practice and pre-game, plus assist players with individual stretching and flexibility needs.
  • Oversee daily nutritional needs and dietary requirements for players.
  • Assist field and training staff with special conditioning requests from each MLB organization
  • Responsible for supervising and executing each organization’s conditioning objectives for their propertied- players

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be a current certified Strength & Conditioning coach employed by a Major League Baseball organization, preferably at the minor league level
  • Ability to interact with players and team trainers to achieve performance results
  • Competency and familiarity with weight training and exercise equipment
  • Must be available to work weekends and flexible hours at each stadium
