Senior Project Manager, Partner Engineering

United States

At MNTN, we put our people first, full stop. This allows our company culture to be defined by our team members and their shared values, like trust, ambition, quality, radical honesty, and compassionate leadership. It’s why we all really love working for the Hardest Working Software in Television™ (and also why we were named one of Ad Age’s Best Places To Work in 2025.)

We pride ourselves on bringing unrivaled performance and simplicity to Connected TV advertising. Our self-serve technology makes running TV ads as easy as search and social, helping brands drive measurable conversions, revenue, site visits, and more. It’s what led MNTN to being named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023. You can learn more about us and everything we do by visiting https://mountain.com/.

We’re committed to innovation that empowers, not replaces. At MNTN, AI is a tool for growth, enhancing efficiency while keeping a people-first approach. Our goal is to streamline workflows and drive new solutions—without compromising the human element that makes our company great.

So if wanting to do more, own more, and make a bigger impact comes naturally to you, then you may be the person we're looking for to join us in our next stage of growth.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager within Engineering to support key agency relationships through technical execution and cross-functional coordination. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, data, and external stakeholders, and is responsible for driving clarity, accountability, and execution across a high volume of agency-driven technical initiatives.

This role does not own product strategy or roadmap decisions. Instead, it ensures the right conversations happen, decisions stick, and commitments are tracked and delivered, while reducing reactive load on technical program managers, engineering leaders and executives.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy untangling ambiguity, navigating partner relationships, and bringing structure to fast-moving, cross-team work.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the primary project management partner for agency relationships by participating in recurring partner syncs, owning agendas, notes, action items, and follow-ups
  • Translate escalated or loosely defined partner requests into clear, actionable internal workstreams while maintaining historical context across long-running initiatives, issues, and conversations
  • Partner closely with Technical Program Managers, Engineering Managers, Data, and Infrastructure teams to route requests, assess feasibility, scope, timelines, track delivery, and unblock execution
  • Identify when partner concerns require escalation vs. when they can be handled through normal workflows
  • Build clear, concise narratives for leadership on risks, tradeoffs, and progress
  • Surface recurring partner themes and systemic issues, while defining when to engage, defer, or decline partner requests
  • Improve transparency and communication while minimizing unnecessary one-off work for internal teams

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar role supporting engineering teams
  • Background in platform integrations or performance troubleshooting, is preferred
  • Deep familiarity with ad tech and digital advertising ecosystems, including:
    • Programmatic advertising
    • Connected TV (CTV)
    • Measurement, attribution, delivery, pacing, and reporting concepts
  • Strong experience managing complex, cross-team initiatives without direct authority
  • Strong data interpretation skills and advanced spreadsheet proficiency (Excel/Google Sheets), including building pivots and analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, troubleshoot delivery or performance issues, and surface insights that reduce investigative workload on engineering teams.
  • Experience working directly with external partners, clients, or agencies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira Software, Confluence, ServiceDesk)
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, sensitive topics, and evolving partner dynamics while maintaining discretion, neutrality, and professionalism
  • Calm, steady presence in high-pressure or escalated situations

MNTN Perks

  • 100% remote within the US
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Annual vacation allowance for travel related expenses
  • Three-day weekend every month of the year
  • Competitive compensation
  • 100% healthcare coverage
  • 401k plan
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for dependent, medical, and dental care
  • Access to coaching, therapy, and professional development
