We’re hiring a Senior Data Scientist to lead customer analytics across segmentation, lifecycle, retention, value modeling, and experimentation.
This role sits at the intersection of Product, Growth, and Revenue. You will help us deeply understand customer behavior and design rigorous experiments that improve activation, engagement, retention, and expansion.
This is not a reporting role; it’s a decision-shaping role grounded in statistical rigor. You’ll collaborate with Product Owners, Data Analysts, and Engineers to develop analytical frameworks and models that directly influence product and GTM strategy.
What you’ll do
- Develop behavior-based customer segments using product usage and lifecycle signals
- Build LTV models (cohort-based and predictive) and identify power users, high-LTV cohorts, at-risk customers, and under-monetized segments
- Create segmentation frameworks that become operational across Product and GTM teams
- Model activation drivers and time-to-value
- Build survival / time-to-event models to understand churn risk while Identifying leading indicators of disengagement
- Analyze behavioral paths across onboarding → adoption → product maturity
- Partner with Product to design and evaluate A/B and multivariate experiments
- Conduct power analysis and sample size estimation and apply causal inference methods when randomized experiments are not feasible
- Develop expansion and upsell propensity models
- Decompose revenue across lifecycle stages and behavioral segments
- Embed experimentation and modeling insights into product roadmaps
- Build reusable analytical frameworks, not one-off analyses
- Partner with Data Engineering to productionize scoring models where needed
What success looks like
- Clear behavioral customer segments driving product and GTM decisions
- A rigorous experimentation culture with strong statistical discipline
- Measurable improvements in activation and retention
- Predictive LTV and lifecycle models informing strategy
- Data science embedded in real product and revenue decisions
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years in applied data science, customer analytics, or advanced analytics roles
- Strong Python and statistical modeling toolkit
- Deep experience with:
- Experiment design (A/B, multivariate)
- Power analysis and statistical testing
- Causal inference fundamentals
- Survival analysis / retention modeling
- Clustering and segmentation
- LTV and propensity modeling
- Strong SQL and comfort working directly in the warehouse
- Experience analyzing behavioral event data
- Ability to translate statistical results into clear product and business decisions
- SaaS or Adtech experience strongly preferred
