About the Role

Mochi Health is seeking a dynamic recently-graduated engineer with a background in either mechanical design or mechatronics/controls engineering to take a hands-on role in our team. These positions will drive the design and implementation of automated systems for our sterile compounding facility while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Proudly, we handle our automation projects in-house, keeping innovation and expertise local.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead projects to identify complex automation opportunities and then brainstorm and execute innovative solutions.
  • For Mechanical Engineers:
    • Design mechanical systems to automate end-to-end sterile compounding
    • Rapidly iterate through cycles of design/build/test
  • For Controls/Electrical Engineers:
    • Develop and program PLCs and control systems to handle sophisticated automated tasks.
    • Conduct comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of electrical components, ensuring robust system performance.
  • Produce detailed specification documents for precision manufacturing.
  • Design experiments and test plans to enable quick iteration and risk reduction.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of advanced automated equipment.
  • Document meticulously and train/support pharmacy staff.
  • Over communicate and deliver high-value products under tight deadlines

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software or PLC programming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Interest in robotics and motion controls for sterile environments.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a small group

Nice to Have

  • Awareness of GMP and aseptic processing standards.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations.

The estimated salary for this role is between $110,000/year and $175,000/year
