MoneySmart Group is South East Asia's leading personal financial portal helping consumers compare loans, insurance, and credit cards. MoneySmart was founded in 2009 with the simple aim to help consumers make better financial decisions. 

We’re growing and are looking for an exceptional Country Manager to join us in Singapore, focusing on our B2C platform. 

Mission

The mission of the Country Manager is to coordinate, grow and lead a high performance team that delivers the outcomes needed to grow our B2C platform ; driving customer acquisition, revenue, breadth of offerings, and profitability in the SG market. You will collaborate closely with the Chief Business Officer and Group Leadership Team to develop the in-market vision and plans.

You will also be front-and-center in market evangelism, PR, and branding - giving talks, raising awareness of MoneySmart, and promoting good financial practices among consumers to strengthen our position as the go to B2C financial platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Singapore business with full P&L ownership and accountability for growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability
  • Collaborate with the Group Chief Business Officer and Exco leadership to shape market strategy, define business priorities, and deliver on annual and multi-year plans
  • Build, inspire, and scale a high-performing cross-functional team (account management, marketing, operations, content), while embedding MoneySmart’s culture and values in-market
  • Drive commercial growth by developing strategic partnerships, negotiating at C-suite level with banks, insurers, and ecosystem partners, and securing favorable commercial outcomes (pricing, exclusives, co-marketing)
  • Identify and capture new business development opportunities across merchants, suppliers, and partnerships to expand the local ecosystem
  • Oversee daily operations, execution cadence, and operational excellence, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and scalability
  • Partner with Group functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Audit, Product) to ensure smooth execution of corporate processes while adapting to local market needs
  • Elevate customer engagement and experience by driving campaigns, improving conversion, and helping users achieve their financial goals
  • Serve as the voice of the market at Exco level, providing insights, market intelligence, and recommendations to influence group strategy

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Country Manager / Business Unit leadership with end-to-end P&L responsibility, preferably in eCommerce, fintech, financial services, or high-growth digital businesses
  • Min 5 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams (commercial/BD, operations, marketing, growth)
  • Track record of commercial and business development success, including strategic deal-making and partnerships at the C-suite level
  • Proven ability to communicate, influence, and operate effectively with C-suite, Exco members, and regulators, while engaging credibly across all levels of the organization
  • Strategic and operational agility: ability to set direction, design execution frameworks, and solve local business challenges with innovative solutions
  • Knowledge of financial products (banking, insurance) and their sales/commercial cycles preferred
  • Strong understanding of core finance, HR, and compliance principles
  • Bilingual (English and relevant market language)
  • Digital-first mindset with proven ability to scale technology-enabled businesses
