MoneySmart Group is South East Asia's leading personal financial portal helping consumers compare loans, insurance, and credit cards. MoneySmart was founded in 2009 with the simple aim to help consumers make better financial decisions.
We’re growing and are looking for an exceptional Content & Social Lead to join us in Hong Kong.
Mission
This is a high ownership role where you will have the freedom to shape strategy, pitch bold ideas, and drive innovation across MoneySmart’s content and social platforms in Hong Kong. You’ll own our narrative in the market - developing stories, campaigns, and communities that not only build trust but also deliver real business impact.
We’re looking for someone who is equal parts strategist, storyteller, and builder - someone who can balance data with creativity, lead a team, and isn’t afraid to experiment. Standing still is not an option here; your work will shape how millions of Hongkongers see, engage with, and trust MoneySmart.
Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership
- Be the voice of MoneySmart HK, owning our content strategy across blog, social, and email
- Create a sharp editorial calendar that blends key business priorities, audience needs, and cultural moments
- Translate complex financial topics into engaging, relatable narratives that cut through the noise
Social Media & Community
- Lead MoneySmart’s HK social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Build and engage communities with agility and authenticity — replying, listening, and sparking conversations that matter
- Partner with creators, influencers, and agencies to amplify reach and build brand affinity
Campaigns & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Drive integrated content campaigns that fuel awareness, traffic, and conversion
- Collaborate across marketing, product, design, and commercial teams to create ideas that scale
- Bring bold, creative thinking to brainstorms, trend-spotting, and campaign development
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a small content/social team - building a culture of creativity, accountability, and growth
- Champion experimentation, insights-driven optimisation, and a bias for action in how the team works
- Establish best practices, playbooks, and processes that keep the function agile but scalable
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in content marketing, social media, or editorial leadership, ideally in fintech, digital, or consumer tech
- A portfolio of content or campaigns that demonstrates bold storytelling and measurable impact
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and the cultural trends that shape them.
- Strong storytelling and copywriting skills across short-form, visual-first, and long-form formats
- Experience working with SEO, analytics, and social listening tools
- Leadership experience - you’ve built and inspired teams or driven cross-functional impact
- Entrepreneurial, creative, and relentlessly focused on execution
