Executive Assistant

📍London | 💰 Circa £65,000 (based on experience level) + Benefits

⭐Our EA team

We’re looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our EA team to support our Executive team and senior leaders. Initially you will support our Chief Operating Officer.

We know that an excellent EA leads to better outcomes for our customers by enabling the performance of the Executive they support. This is why we are looking for a passionate, ambitious EA who relishes working in a fast paced environment where they have an opportunity to make a real difference. While you will initially be supporting our COO 1:1,  it is important that you’re willing to be flexible as business needs change. We generally work 1:2 / 1:3 depending on the workload associated with the person.

Joining a team of seventeen you will collaborate with our existing EA team to keep Monzo running and to continue to raise the bar on what great support looks like.

🔑You’ll play a key role by...

  • Managing our leaders’ time to ensure their diaries are accurate, free from clashes, prioritised and creating space for them to get work done. Anticipating changes and proactively supporting them to keep their plates spinning.
  • Supporting our leaders with their important weekly meetings whether that is with agenda, deck preparation, taking minutes or following up on actions.
  • Keeping your finger on the pulse of their world by proactively managing their inbox and keeping it clear of clutter and escalating important information to ensure it is addressed in a timely manner.
  • Relationship building across your leaders organisation to keep your finger on the pulse of engagement.
  • Owning the logistics of your leaders work life and their events. This could look like arranging day to day transport and accommodation, planning away days and socials for their team or ensuring they have a meeting room for every meeting.
  • Working as part of an Executive Office, collaborating with the Chief of Staff and People Partner to deliver for your exec.

While your focus will be on the leader that you’re supporting there will also be opportunities to get involved in project work and other initiatives across the organisation that interest you.

🤩We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have experience working as an EA previously within a fast paced environment. (While not a requirement, previous experience in a start-up or scale up is preferable)
  • You’re resilient and tenacious in your approach to getting things done you’re not afraid to ask questions to gather the context you need to work autonomously
  • You are excited by the opportunity to be involved in a broad surface area  and able to context switch with ease.
  • You have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to write and adapt style to different audiences
  • You enjoy work where attention to detail is a key strength
  • You enjoy collaborating as a team to get things done
  • You have prior experience using Google suite & Slack or similar tools.
  • You have strong EQ, with fine tuned instincts and problem solving skills.

We legally have to verify your Right to Work in the UK before you can start working for us. We're asking for this information now so we know later what type of right to work check we need to do. Your answer to this question won't affect the outcome of your application, unless you'd need visa sponsorship but are applying to a role we can't sponsor.

👤 Identity survey

Our goal at Monzo is to make money work for everyone. To do that, working at Monzo must work for everyone. We want to create an equitable, engaged and innovative workplace which gives people from all backgrounds the support they need to thrive and grow.

Making Monzo work for everyone starts right at the beginning of every Monzonaut's journey: when they apply to work here. This demographic survey will help us better understand the people who apply to work at Monzo. It'll help us see how different groups progress through our hiring process, and where we need to make improvements to be more inclusive. If you choose to fill it out, all of the information you give us is:

  • Voluntary. And we've included a "prefer not to say" option for every question. It'd be helpful if you still fill out the survey even if you choose "prefer not to say" for every question, as it's useful for us to understand & record this. We won't know if you choose to fill this survey in or not.
  • Anonymous to Monzo. We can't tie your responses to you and they won't make a difference to the outcome of your application. We'll only use grouped responses for equal opportunities monitoring in our hiring process.

For more information on how we'll use this data, please read our candidate privacy notice.

By filling out this survey, you agree that we can use your responses for the purposes we've mentioned above. You are not letting us know if we need to make any adjustments to the hiring process because of disability or neurodiversity - to do this please email us.
