Summary
We’re looking for a Closing Specialist to join our Hold in Trust Team!
This role aids case staff in resolving outstanding bills and liens on settled cases across the firm. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including, but not limited to, the following:
*Must have experience with liens and bill reductions*
Responsibilities
- Monitor outstanding requests to resolve trust balances while promoting a positive work environment.
- Review case facts to determine what needs to be paid to resolve the trust balances.
- Communicate to medical providers and various lien holders to negotiate balances.
- Understand the law as it pertains to different liens.
- Collaborate with other team members to create a constantly learning work place.
- Communicate with case staff on trust disbursement.
- Give clear direction to accounting on disbursements.
- Develop ideas and strategies to maximize our clients share of any funds held.
- Build relationships with case staff and attorneys across the firm
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of paralegal or litigation experience in the personal injury industry
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of laws across the country as it pertains to liens.
- Ability to work both independently and in a group setting
- Be adaptable, curious and creatively solve problems in an evolving space, capable of managing complexity while maintaining a sense of balance
