
Director, GTM Strategy & Operations - EU/UK
As Marqeta’s Director, Go-To-Market Strategy & Operations in the UK, you will be responsible for helping define the strategy and operations of a best-in-class sales force, as well as driving reporting and insights for the GTM sales organisation. In this role, you will partner with Sales executive leadership to turn data into actionable insights and lead internal sales processes and operational activities to maximise sales productivity. You will cover core areas, including reporting on sales performance and trends, working cross-functionally on initiatives to increase sales efficiency, and driving annual strategic planning. Additionally, you will have strong project management skills as you land key objectives for the company.

The Impact You'll Have
- Establishing and leading the GTM strategy & operations function for the region
- Drive & support planning efforts covering sales strategy, quota setting, team structure & resourcing and account assignments
- Lead annual planning activities, including revenue growth projections and headcount planning
- Continually optimise our sales funnel through data, systems, strategy and process - including the sales pipeline and forecast management process, working to ensure forecast accuracy and overall pipeline health
- Provide analytical thought leadership, creating meaningful business insights, implementing strategic operational priorities and developing and allocating key performance metrics
- Support goal setting, tracking, and performance measurement of the business, incorporating this into management reporting that informs critical business decisions
- Be viewed as a cross-functional subject matter expert, who is sought for advice on decisions that can impact business operations
Who You Are
- 10+ years of proven experience managing a best-in-class, complex Sales Operations function supporting growth in a FinTech / modern payments sales environment
- Relevant (UK/EU) Market experience
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, including talent for conducting research, analysing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesising recommendations to an executive-level audience
- Track record in excellent process design and documentation, ideally including onboarding process optimisation in regulated payments organisations
- Experience successfully managing large-scale complex projects/programs
- Ability to not only think strategically, but also follow through in execution and operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail
- A proven ability to develop tactical initiatives that improve sales productivity and performance.
- Self-starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision
