Role Overview
The Association Communications Associate develops and manages content for MSF USA association membership and key associative events to boost engagement in the leading associative digital platforms of the US association. The role serves as the MSF USA focal point to ensure that the US membership/community engagement and the Souk platforms are fed with quality and consistent MSF USA-related content and are dynamic and safe spaces for association members to exchange opinions and ideas. The position is supervised by the Association coordinator, who leads the Association team in collaboration with relevant associative/executive stakeholders (Souk editorial team, MSF USA Board members, MSF associative network, and relevant office departments.)

Represent the organization to external stakeholders on D, E, and I issues.

Execute and manage operations using predetermined protocols and procedures to achieve specified operational performance standards.
Organizational Capability Building
Take action to develop capabilities at an organizational level to ensure that these are relevant to current and future organizational requirements and to enable the organization at large to achieve MSF USA goals and fulfill the potential of its people.
Board Relationship
Develop and improve relationships with Board members; identify priorities, issues, and strategic challenges in the business for Board discussion.
Roles Specific Outcomes |
Internal Communications Contribute to and execute a communications plan within established internal communication systems and procedures and in collaboration with the MSF USA Association team. Contribute to strategies to diversify audiences of the US association membership and increase accessibility to information on the associative platforms and for associative events or initiatives (such as Board meetings, Regional Associative Meetings, General Assembly, Welcome to MSF, and online discussions.) Content Creation and Moderation Develop and manage MSF USA-related content to increase awareness of MSF activities and internal debates that will be shared on the associative digital platform (the Souk). Propose and lead editorial initiatives with the Souk and MSF USA association teams. Effectively follow and promptly report inappropriate or offensive content to the Association Coordinator and senior management. Stakeholder Management Develop and implement a relationship management and onboarding plan for existing and new contributors and users of the new membership/community management platform and the Souk. Identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within the organization and enable adequate two-way flow of information and resolution of issues. Collect feedback from users and internal stakeholders to ensure their needs are met, providing summary analyses and recommendations for changes based on input. Insights and Reporting Produce various data and analytics reports, such as periodic content moderation reports for the MSF USA executive team. These core accountabilities should not be construed to contain every function/responsibility that may be required by an incumbent in this job. Compensation
$67,350 to $101,025 based on experience
