About MSF USA | Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international organization that provides medical care to the people who need it most. The organization cares for people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, disasters, and social exclusion in more than 70 countries. MSF offers medical humanitarian assistance solely based on need, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or politics. Our international project teams include medical, logistical, and administrative staff, most of them hired locally and working with their own communities. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of independence, impartiality, and neutrality. We also bear witness and speak out about the experiences of our colleagues and patients.

MSF USA is one of 24 sections supporting the global movement, primarily through staff recruitment, fundraising, advocacy, and communications. We welcome candidates who bring a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences to join us in working toward MSF’s social mission.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Digital Marketing Intern will primarily support our rapidly growing email and SMS marketing and fundraising program, with potential for ad hoc opportunities arising in the advertising and web programs. In this role you’ll be supporting a dynamic and evolving program focusing on expanding our digital engagement, improving the performance of email acquisition and retention, and increasing the share of digital revenue from sustainers — donors who give recurring monthly, quarterly, or annual gifts. The intern will be tasked with administrative support for the creative, production, and fulfillment aspects of digital campaigns – from creative ideation to campaign setup.

The Digital Marketing Intern’s main priority will be to ensure the smooth execution of the email and SMS program.  You will learn how MSF takes an omnichannel, integrated approach to marketing, using available marketing and project management tools and technologies while also innovating to bring the work of MSF to life with the right message at the right time. This internship is ideal for anyone interested in digital fundraising and marketing, as well as the administration of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
