- Lead the development of commissioning plans for satellite launches and coordinate with the Satellite Operations Manager and Systems Engineering teams to ensure proper support
- Monitor operational performance against contractual requirements and coordinate cross team support to address any performance shortfalls
- Ensure Satellite Operation’s systems and processes are scalable and support anticipated fleet expansion and contractual requirements
- Provide periodic updates to management on commissioning progress and operational performance against contractual commitments
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in satellite operations or a related high-reliability system environment (e.g., aerospace, defense)
- Working knowledge of satellite subsystem functionality
- Experience solving complex problems that span multiple systems
- Experience with creating operational processes to address both technical and customer needs
- An engineering background in an engineering field such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create structure/process where none exists
Nice-to-have Skills
- Demonstrated experience with satellite command and control systems, telemetry analysis, and mission planning
- Direct experience with on-orbit satellite commissioning or mission operations
- Understanding of ITAR/EAR regulations
Salary
The salary range for this role is $129K - $205K and will depend on a candidate's skills geographic location, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.
