A Sales Development Representative will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for actively seeking out and developing new mid-market to enterprise sales leads. As a Sales Development Representative, you must be comfortable being a brand ambassador and managing a large number of outbound call activities, with a focus on SQLs.  

Responcibilites: 

  • Be a product expert within the MyCarrier TMS, and be able to fully demonstrate the value that our products bring to our customers.  
  • Work with leads/contacts from Marketing/Ops and other sources to further develop the lead into a qualified SQL (Sales Qualified Lead).   
  • Manage the relationships you develop with the prospects/customers, schedule calls and 
     presentations with the key decision maker, and follow through with demonstrations. 
  • Partner with Sr. Account Executives to source and qualify meetings with prospects. 
  • Work in a team setting to contribute in achieving both individual and departmental goals (e.g. SQL’s, velocity, new customers, etc.) 
  • Conduct customer and market research to verify and validate the level of opportunity for conversion. 
  • Route XQLs to the appropriate Account Executive for further development and closure 
  • Utilize sales strategies to find net-new enterprise customers who fit the ideal customer profile for a given feature, benefit, or service 
  • Source sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails 
  • Identify key players and generate interest of the MyCarrier platform by calling, emailing, and video conferencing with the potential customers  
  • Understand the problems of enterprise customers and position the MyCarrier platform as their one-stop solution 
  • Build rapport with customer leads by answering product and service inquiries 
  • Keep knowledge current on MyCarrier platform 
  • Create and maintain a database of potential customers 
  • Manage individual sales pipeline and respond to email/chats/voicemails in accordance with department SLAs 
  • Consistently log and record each-and-every outreach made, in Hubspot, producing regular activity reports as requested by the sales leader 
  • Document information for all sales activities, opportunities and customer interactions in company’s CRM  
  • Maintain successful call metrics and HubSpot’s KPI’s 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the sales process and report to Sales leadership team 

Desired Qualification:

  • 1+ year(s) experience in a BDR/SDR  
  • Track record of hitting metrics  
  • Experience building a quality pipeline that delivers the results and even outperforms.  
  • Passion to achieve great goals and the perseverance to stick with it. Be driven and make that drive contagious.  
  • Fast-learner and early adopter.  
  • Constantly seek to understand the customer challenges and insights that improve engagement and ways of connecting with potential sales leads.  
  • Superb Phone Skills  
  • High Output Player – Working in a cohesive team of high achievers and drive yourself and others to continually do better.  
  • Desire and interest in a career in sales. Getting geeked by talking to and helping customers.
