Director, Product Management

Remote - US

At MyFitnessPal, we believe good health starts with what you eat. We provide tools, resources and support to enable users to reach their health goals.

As a Director of Product Management at MyFitnessPal, you will lead a pillar of our product organization, setting strategy across multiple squads and driving measurable outcomes for our customers and business. You will be as comfortable coaching PMs and influencing engineering and design leadership as you are rolling up your sleeves to dig into discovery, data, and customer insights. You will help define how we work — not just what we build.

The Opportunity

MyFitnessPal is expanding beyond its flagship app into a portfolio of complementary products. This Director will lead one of those bets — an app with early traction and strong signal — and own the strategy, team, and roadmap to grow it from initial traction to meaningful scale, reaching millions of users who want to improve their health through better food choices.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and evolve the product strategy and roadmap for an early-stage app within the MyFitnessPal portfolio, aligning squad-level work to company objectives and customer outcomes
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers, building their craft, coaching them through discovery and delivery, and helping them master the product operating model
  • Champion a culture of continuous discovery — using qualitative and quantitative methods to ensure squads are building the right things, not just building things right
  • Drive alignment across product, engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market functions, unblocking decisions and creating clarity when data conflicts or stakeholders disagree
  • Set the bar for how strategy, goals, and priorities are communicated — to your squads, to the broader product development organization, and to senior leadership
  • Be accountable for the performance of your pillar's product experiences, holding yourself and your teams to measurable outcomes
  • Contribute to the evolution of MFP's product operating model — sharing what works, identifying risks, and continuously raising the bar for how the org discovers and delivers

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 1–2 years managing and developing other PMs
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple squads or a product pillar with measurable impact on customers and the business
  • Deep fluency in the product operating model — you've lived it, coached others through it, and know where the pitfalls are
  • Proven ability to set and communicate strategy in a way that motivates teams and creates alignment, even in ambiguous or contested situations
  • Strong bias to action: you make decisions quickly using a variety of inputs and know how to balance short-term momentum with long-term vision
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and data-informed iteration at scale
  • Experience leading consumer-facing product development for native iOS and Android apps
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills — you can tailor your message for a squad standup or a board slide

Values you’ll model

  • Be Kind and Care — build with empathy; assume positive intent; support teammates and members.
  • Live Good Health — champion healthy habits and balance in how we work and what we ship.
  • Be Data-Inspired — ground decisions in research and data; measure what matters.
  • Champion Change — lean into ambiguity; iterate, learn, and improve continuously.
  • Leave it Better than You Found It — raise quality, clarify systems, and document as you go.
  • Make It Happen — bias to action; deliver impact with craft and accountability.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
