Deputy Director - Business Finance (Growth & Marketing)
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Develop clear understanding of key business drivers, analyses key financial metrics, provide value add analysis, support to sales / finance management
- Guide the team on rigorous data based analysis for any decision-making scenario, bringing out business insights not visible in regular reviews
- Seen as strategic thought partner to business on where the business needs to go, why and how will we win
- Influence and drive business decision / action with appropriate analysis and comments.
- Have a customer first attitude looking at customer retention and repeat rate as the primary metric driving any investment for marketing and customer experience
- Understands the next level of details / top macro story for his function - industry trends,
- Customer, brands, competition and is able to leverage that understanding to drive insights / analysis and connect with bottom up business drivers / data
- Proactive in reviewing financial information, identifying exception / inconsistencies, initiate action and follow-up for logical closure.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and respond with right trade-offs
- Takes a balanced view of business reality and process controls in every decision framework
- Demonstrates ability to set a broader agenda for a large, critical part of the business and takes people through that
- Handle complex adhoc request with a short turnaround time and supplement such request with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making
- Support finance / business leader in simulation of traffic projections and conversion, working out the right lever to invest on attaining the traffic target, including cost optimisation plans
- Establish ROI on marketing investments, with right assessment of risks and opportunities.
- Understand the voice of customer and the work to address the pain points, if material.
- Understand the levers impact Net promoter Score (NPS).
- Build operational plan for contact centre resources optimising on utilisation and channel mix.
- Participate in budget discussion and support scenario building / simulation modelling.
- Lead the AOP exercise with the right levers taking into account the growth and customer arter.
- Tracking of performance against set targets and provide periodical updates to business.
- Builds high performing teams and develops / grows people managers.
- Helps individuals achieve more by constantly raise expectations and providing relevant support.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to achieve results in a fast pace and rapid growth environment characterised by dynamism and ambiguity.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Qualified CA / Post-Graduate from a tier 1/ tier 2 University or business school / should hold a degree in finance with 6 to 9 years of Relevant Experience partnering with Business team
- Prior experience in Relevant Industry / Business Facing Roles will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrate strong Communication / Presentation Skills and ability to work with peers and counterparts / multi location setup / good team manager.
- Proficient in Office Tools MS Excel, PowerPoint Skills. Able to lead the team.
