The Role

Nabis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Operations Manager to join our dynamic accounting team. The Accounting Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Operations function. Primary responsibilities will include adhering to Accounting Operation KPIs, ensuring accurate and timely processing and reconciliation of cash application and brand payments, and facilitating communications related to the Order-to-Cash cycle with internal and external stakeholders. 

Leading a team of accounting specialists, the Accounting Operations Manager will provide guidance, training, and support to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as a solid background in Accounting Operations and the Order-to-Cash cycle, to contribute to the financial success of our organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounting operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
  • Streamline and optimize the cash application and payment reconciliation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with Engineering to identify and implement automation tools or systems to enhance accounting operations
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the accounting team to ensure they are updated with accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate and oversee various ad hoc accounting projects, ensuring timely completion and accuracy
  • Collaborate with Brand Payments during brand onboarding and offboarding, ensuring smooth financial transitions and closure of outstanding payments for our partners
  • Perform periodic reviews to confirm clearance of uncleared checks, maintaining accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance and proper accounting treatment for legal matters and related processes.
  • Oversee invoice generation and revenue reconciliation, ensuring accurate billing and financial reporting
  • Prepare audit letters and support files, facilitating internal and external audit processes for compliance
  • Supervise and manage the accounting operations team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the achievement of departmental goals and objectives

 


Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience in accounting operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Solid understanding of accounting operations processes, including cash application, reconciliation, and vendor payments
  • Strong knowledge of the Order-to-Cash cycle and its relationship to accounting operations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Proficient in using accounting software and platforms, including QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other relevant tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in financial data management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex accounting issues and discrepancies
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders and guide the accounting team
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of motivating and developing a high-performing team
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to accounting operations
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret financial data and reports effectively
