The Role
Nabis is seeking a Box Truck Driver to support our Oakland operations by running product pickup routes and fulfilling ad-hoc freight requests that require a larger vehicle. This role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our statewide distribution network. If runs that require a larger vehicle are not necessary, this role will also assume standard retail delivery responsibilities as needed.
The ideal candidate is a reliable, experienced driver who can manage tight schedules, communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams, and uphold Nabis’ high standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a non-commercial box truck to conduct scheduled and ad-hoc product pickups from partner brands and licensed facilities.
- Transport goods safely and efficiently, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding pickup timing, delays, and delivery status.
- Follow all company SOPs and safety standards, performing regular inspections of the truck prior to and after routes.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security, and readiness for use at all times; report any maintenance or safety issues to Fleet Management.
- Load and secure cargo according to Nabis safety standards; ensure loads are balanced and stable before transit.
- Support warehouse operations as needed, including assisting with unloading during high-volume periods.
- Utilize GPS and Nabis routing tools to follow assigned routes efficiently and comply with all state and local traffic laws.
- Exercise sound judgment when handling unexpected route changes, mechanical issues, or other on-road challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be over the age of 21
- Must be available for occasional overnight routes including overnight hotel stays Monday - Thursday
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch and twist
- A clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than 1 point on driving record)
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check
- Must be able to welcome and learn new technologies quickly and effectively
- Excellent judgement and work ethic

- Adaptability
- Cannabis industry experience a plus
