About the Role
Nabis is seeking a reliable and motivated Operations Manager of Quality Assurance to support our Los Angeles warehouses. This individual will be highly organized, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be motivated to take ownership of their department’s accuracy and efficiency. This role is full-time and may at times include demanding hours. This position requires prior supervisor or manager level experience in warehouse and/or distribution logistics. This position is not remote and will require daily on-site shifts at the facility.
Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations Managers, Supervisors, and associates to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely execution of inbound and outbound warehouse activities, maintaining alignment and consistency in inventory flow
- Lead performance management by monitoring productivity, SOP adherence, and KPIs; deliver structured coaching and accountability frameworks to drive operational excellence
- Own workforce planning, including labor forecasting, scheduling optimization, and aligning staffing with volume trends in a high-throughput environment
- Champion warehouse safety and compliance by identifying risks, enforcing best practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Drive process improvement by identifying inefficiencies, implementing scalable solutions, and communicating recommendations to internal teams and external partners
- Facilitate clear, professional communication across internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, issue resolution, and business needs
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end inventory flow, including QA, rejections, and reverse fulfillment, proactively addressing bottlenecks to improve throughput and accuracy
- Serve as a primary point of contact for brand partners, providing data-driven updates on product readiness, QA issues, and timelines to inventory availability
- Lead inventory integrity initiatives, including cycle counts, audits, and variance analysis, translating findings into actionable, high-level reporting
- Leverage WMS, Metrc, and data tools to conduct root cause analysis on discrepancies and QA failures, driving cross-functional corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement of inventory control and QA processes through KPI tracking, trend analysis, and cross-functional partnership to enhance accuracy and reduce shrink
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience within a warehouse or logistics setting
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ employees
- Proficient at Excel or Google Sheets
- High empathy, excellent communication skills, and an interest in working directly with a wide array of people
- Superior time management and organization
- Tenacity and adaptability to navigate the evolving demands of working at a high-growth startup
- High EQ, low ego, and a willingness to do everything, including manual labor
- Delegation and project follow-up
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
- A passion for cannabis products and the cannabis industry
- Experience in the Cannabis industry preferred
- Supply chain / data analysis training or the equivalent work experience
- Project management and quantitative analysis expertise
- Must be 21 years or older and must pass a background check
- Monday -- Friday on-site work availability
