Role Summary

The Digital Media Producer is responsible for creating, editing, and publishing dynamic, on-brand content that strengthens engagement across NLG’s corporate, executive, and agent social media channels. In addition to supporting social media content production, this individual will produce copy and creative assets for web pages, landing pages, email campaigns, presentations, display advertising, and content marketing initiatives, working closely with the Digital Content & Insights lead to ensure consistency, quality, discoverability, and impact across all digital touchpoints.

Reporting to the Digital Content & Insights Lead, the Digital Media Producer serves as the team’s lead content creator and storyteller, translating strategy into creative execution. Working with the Digital Content & Insights Lead, they develop copy and work directly with the Creative Services Team to identify graphics, photos, and video assets that bring NLG’s brand voice to life, ensuring every piece of content is compliant, relevant, and aligned with campaign goals and audience needs.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy, detail-obsessed team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They combine creative storytelling with the discipline and speed to meet tight deadlines and the judgment to maintain accuracy and brand integrity under pressure. They are fluent in social and digital content best practices, experienced in collaborating with multimedia production professionals, and comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and compliance teams.

Success in this role will be defined by the timely delivery of compelling, insight-driven content that elevates NLG’s brand, strengthens digital engagement, and supports both corporate visibility and field enablement through consistent, high-quality storytelling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and produce high-quality, on-brand written content for corporate, executive, and agent social channels, including posts, articles, Reels, videos, graphics, and short-form storytelling designed to drive engagement and awareness.
  • Develop and adapt copy and creative assets for web pages, landing pages, email campaigns, presentations, display advertising, and content marketing, ensuring accuracy, SEO optimization, and consistent alignment with NLG’s brand voice and messaging standards across all digital platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including the Digital Content & Insights Lead, Creative Services, and Compliance to translate strategy into timely, compelling, and compliant creative output, partnering with designers, motion artists, and video editors to define the visuals that best support written storytelling.
  • Manage end-to-end content production, from concepting and scripting to editing and publishing, coordinating with designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals as needed. Act as a systems thinker and hands-on executor, comfortable working within content delivery platforms such as Sprout, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Mailchimp, as well as CMS platforms including Sitecore, WordPress, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to update, publish, and maintain digital assets.
  • Operate with speed, precision, and accountability, consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Contribute as a high-energy, collaborative team player, communicating proactively with colleagues, sharing ideas, and supporting a positive, solutions-oriented creative culture, while staying attuned to cultural, digital, and social trends that inform best-in-class content and messaging for NLG, including monitoring social media accounts and engaging with users when appropriate.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5 years experience producing digital content, writing for marketing, advertising, public relations or general or communications with a demonstrated record of creating engaging content for web and social platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and on-brand content across multiple formats and channels, including long-form editorial, short-form copy, and social-first storytelling, tailored to both traditional and digital-first audiences.
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills, with a strong command of grammar, tone, and style, and the ability to ensure every piece of content aligns with NLG’s brand voice and compliance standards.
  • A keen eye for visual composition and storytelling, with the ability to collaborate closely with designers and multimedia professionals to pair copy with impactful visuals.

  • Demonstrated success creating content for and managing posts within social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and using publishing tools such as Sprout or Hearsay Systems.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles, metadata, and keyword best practices to optimize visibility and engagement.
  • Comfortable working in content delivery and CMS platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, Sitecore, WordPress, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), with the ability to make updates and edits to existing assets.
  • Some professional experience using AI-assisted writing, creative, or automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Salesforce Einstein, HubSpot AI, or similar) to enhance efficiency, idea generation, and content optimization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in driving projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively across marketing, creative, and compliance teams.

Work Arrangements: Hybrid

This position currently offers an onsite hybrid work schedule, with the expectation that you are in the office four days per week during onsite core days.  Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional writing and digital content experience, ideally within financial services, professional services, or another regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience producing content for executive and brand social media accounts, including thought leadership, storytelling, and campaign-driven posts.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and conversion data, with the ability to translate insights into creative improvements.
  • Knowledge of multimedia content development, including collaboration with Creative Services on graphics, motion, and video elements.
  • Experience writing SEO-friendly and conversion-oriented content that aligns with brand voice, campaign objectives, and accessibility standards.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), or other analytics tools for content performance tracking.
  • Professional experience using AI-assisted writing tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) and understanding of how to leverage them responsibly and ethically for efficiency and idea generation.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrates a solutions-oriented, high-energy mindset, curiosity for emerging digital trends, and commitment to continuous improvement in content quality and delivery.

Base Pay Range.  The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors.  The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.

Additional Compensation and Benefits. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life’s discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and National Life reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

$60,750 - $89,100 USD
