Job Summary:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of maintenance tasks using Maintenance Connection Software. This role supports the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisors with data entry and file system management and serves as a backup for the Parts Inventory Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Champion the use of maintenance software.
- Maintain equipment spare parts organization and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Expedite critical parts orders as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong communication with various departments within the company.
- Coordinate parts restocking orders.
- Generate PM (Preventive Maintenance) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) work orders using Maintenance Connection software.
- Ensure availability of parts for both planned and unplanned work orders.
- Schedule repair and PM work orders.
- Update task lists to improve work order structure.
- Upload work order information to maintain the work order history file.
- Maintain equipment and drawing files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Successful completion of training and certification activities.
- Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
- Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
- Willingness to fulfill overtime obligations when needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical school or associate’s degree is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer programs required for the job (e.g., MS Office, Maintenance Computer Software).
- Knowledge of manufacturing supplies.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance administration, or planning is preferred.
