As Technical Writer you will join our expert consulting team focused on a cutting-edge preventative security platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and improving all technical documentation related to the platform, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for various audiences.

As a resourceful and detail-oriented individual, you will act as an untangler of complex technical information, transforming it into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. Your ability to work as a collaborator and maintain a strong customer-focused approach will be vital in facilitating internal knowledge sharing and developing comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that empower both our team and the client.

How your day-to-day work will look like: 

• Documentation Development & Maintenance:
  • Take ownership of the preventative security platform's technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, API documentation, configuration guides, and user manuals.
  • Maintain and improve existing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards and best practices.
  • Develop new documentation as features and functionalities are designed, developed, and deployed, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the platform.
  • Utilize a detail-oriented approach to review, edit, and proofread documentation for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
• Knowledge Sharing & SOP Development:
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, business analysts, and security subject matter experts to gather technical information and understand complex concepts.
  • Act as an untangler, taking highly technical and often disparate information and synthesizing it into organized, coherent, and easily digestible content for various audiences.
  • Design and develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the platform's operation, maintenance, and incident response, ensuring they are clear, actionable, and customer-focused for end-users.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives, identifying gaps and proactively creating content to improve team efficiency and understanding.
• Customer-Focused Communication & Accessibility:
  • Adopt a customer-focused mindset, understanding the diverse needs of end-users (developers, operations teams, security analysts, etc.) and tailoring documentation to their specific requirements.
  • Ensure documentation is easily accessible and discoverable, utilizing appropriate tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, internal wikis).
  • Proactively seek feedback from users to continuously improve documentation quality and usability.
• Research & Continuous Improvement:
  • Demonstrate a curious approach to learning new technologies, security concepts, and documentation tools.
  • Be resourceful in identifying information sources, conducting research, and clarifying technical ambiguities.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices in technical writing and documentation tools, recommending improvements to processes and standards.

This would make you the ideal candidate: 

• Proficiency in both written and verbal English is essential for this role, as you will be collaborating with global teams and creating documentation for an international audience.
• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Writer in a fast-paced technology environment, preferably within software development, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for complex software platforms and systems.
• Experience in documenting security concepts, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and IT infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Markdown, Git-based documentation platforms, or similar.
• Strong understanding of documentation best practices, information architecture, and content management principles.
