About the project
As a Senior Android & Design Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design, product, and platform engineering teams to deliver a consistent, high-quality user experience while improving developer efficiency and accelerating feature delivery. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about both craft (creating beautiful, accessible, and performant UI) and systems thinking (scalable architecture, reusable components, and automation).
How your day-to-day work will look like
✅ Partner with design and product teams to translate design language into Reusable Jetpack Compose and XML-based components.
✅ Define and maintain design tokens (colors, typography, spacing, motion, accessibility) using our design system platform (e.g., Figma, Specify, or similar).
✅ Ensure apps consume tokens and components consistently across Android devices and form factors.
✅ Build and maintain base and composite UI components that are flexible, accessible, and performant.
✅ Collaborate with design to validate components against Figma specs and ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
✅ Implement automated testing strategies (unit, UI, accessibility testing).
✅ Optimize performance of UI components for smooth animations, scrolling, and responsiveness.
✅ Contribute to tooling and automation for design code pipelines (e.g., syncing tokens from Specify, automated documentation).
✅ Evangelize design system adoption across feature teams and guide best practices.
✅ Support accessibility (TalkBack, font scaling, color contrast) and localization requirements in all components.
✅ Participated in code reviews, technical design discussions, and roadmap planning for the design system.
This would make you the ideal candidate
✨ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
✨ 5+ Years of experience working with Android development.
✨ 3+ Years of experience working with Kotlin.
✨ 2+ Years of experience working with Java.
✨ Experience building reusable UI components and frameworks: Jetpack Compose, Android Views/XML.
✨ Solid understanding of design tokens and design system concepts.
✨ Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Specify, Zeplin, or similar design-to-code platforms.
✨ Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Robolectric, UI Automator).
✨ Performance-minded: experienced in using Android Studio Profiler and related tools for debugging and optimization.
✨ Strong foundation in accessibility (TalkBack, font scaling, color contrast) and localization.
✨ Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
