Senior Engineering Recruiter

Irvine, CA

Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start-up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI-driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.

Here, you won’t just take a job — you’ll help reinvent how the world flies. If you’re ready to solve complex problems, push technology further, and work alongside some of the brightest minds in aerospace, this is your chance to make a real impact.

Neon is building the next generation of aerospace manufacturing and aviation technology, and we are looking for a Senior Engineering Recruiter to help scale the teams making that possible. This is a high-impact, hands-on role based on-site in Irvine, California, where you will lead full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical positions that are critical to Neon’s growth. You will partner closely with hiring managers, build creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles, and help shape the recruiting processes, tools, and candidate experience needed to support a fast-moving company.

Why This Role Matters

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical roles from intake through offer and close.
  • Build and execute deep sourcing strategies across competitors, adjacent industries, niche engineering communities, AI ecosystems, aerospace networks, and aviation talent pools.
  • Partner directly with hiring managers to translate technical requirements into focused hiring strategies and strong candidate pipelines.
  • Help Neon attract and close highly specialized talent in competitive markets.
  • Improve recruiting effectiveness by using Greenhouse data and recruiting analytics to strengthen sourcing channels, outreach, conversion, and candidate quality.
  • Support a fast-paced, on-site environment where priorities can shift quickly and execution matters.
  • Contribute to the growth of a high-caliber Human Capital team at a pivotal stage of company scaling.

What You'll Bring

  • Senior-level full-cycle technical recruiting experience across sourcing, screening, pipeline management, offer support, and closing.
  • Strong experience recruiting for engineering and other technical functions in fast-moving or highly specialized environments.
  • Agency recruiting experience with demonstrated strength in proactive sourcing, candidate generation, urgency, and requisition ownership.
  • In-house recruiting experience in a startup, high-growth company, or similarly dynamic environment.
  • Ability to recruit across AI, aerospace systems, aviation technology, advanced manufacturing, software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, systems, and related technical functions.
  • Advanced experience with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI-powered sourcing tools.
  • Proven ability to fill difficult, highly specialized roles in competitive talent markets.
  • Strong judgment, clear communication skills, and a candidate-first mindset.
  • Ability to balance strategic recruiting partnership with detailed tactical execution, including scheduling, interview coordination, data accuracy, and candidate communication.
  • Comfort working on-site in Irvine, California in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, manage high volumes of communication and scheduling activity, and move between meetings and collaborative workspaces as needed.
  • Security Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Additional role-specific compliance requirements, if applicable, are to be confirmed by the hiring manager.

Preferred

  • Recruiting experience in AI, aerospace, aviation, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex technical environments.
  • Experience building long-term talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and mission-critical roles before requisitions formally open.
  • Experience managing external recruiting agencies, including search alignment, feedback loops, and performance follow-up.
  • Familiarity with data-driven recruiting process improvement in a scaling organization.

Why Join Us

  • Work alongside elite engineering talent and innovators from across aerospace and tech.
  • Be part of a team moving faster than the industry standard.
  • Shape solutions that are lower-cost, autonomous, and scalable - the future of aviation.
  • Competitive compensation, including equity participation, growth opportunities, and full health benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k)) designed to support you in and out of work.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
