TITLE: Senior Facilities & Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Facilities & Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual skilled in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
The ideal candidate will act with passion and intensity in a medical device start-up that is fast paced and collaborative and will display the ability to perform to the requirements outlined below. For the right person, this position will be a tremendously exciting and career-defining opportunity, making core contributions to a genuinely new type of medical robotic platform.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Address routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry
- Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility systems and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are needed
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promptly address hazards or deficiencies
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed.
- Work with pest control
- Ensure OSHA compliant
- Assist with setting up and tearing down for events, meetings, or facility projects.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner through a work order system.
- Moving equipment around the facility
- Ordering new equipment
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Monitor inventory levels for tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock is available
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Positive demeanor with a strong work ethic and desire to be a big part of a growing organization
- Familiarity with cGMP and ISO13485 rules and regulations
- Comfortable working Mon – Fri with a 6 AM to 3PM
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in building maintenance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED. Technical certification preferred
Neptune Medical is located in Burlingame, CA, near the Millbrae Caltrain and BART Station
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $85,000 and $110,000 depending on experience. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, benefits and 401(K) with matching.
