About the Opportunity

NetDocuments is seeking a Director, Product & Segment Marketing to lead and scale our product marketing function across all key customer segments: Strategic (AM Law 200) law firms, Large law firms, Midsize law firms, Small law firms, and Corporate Legal departments. This role reports to the VP of Product Marketing and is responsible for developing and directing all product and segment marketing activities — from go-to-market strategy and competitive positioning to segment-specific messaging, sales enablement, and market intelligence.

This is a leadership role that sits at the intersection of product marketing and segment marketing. You will build deep expertise in how each customer segment evaluates, buys, and adopts legal technology — and translate that understanding into differentiated go-to-market strategies that drive growth. The ideal candidate brings a blend of product marketing rigor and segment or industry marketing experience, with the ability to develop and motivate a team of product marketers.

Whether your background is in product marketing, segment marketing, industry marketing, or solutions marketing within enterprise software, we want to hear from you.

What Your Contributions Will Be

  • Segment Strategy & Go-to-Market: Define and execute differentiated go-to-market strategies for each customer segment — Strategic (AM Law 200), Large, Midsize, and Small law firms, and Corporate Legal. Tailor positioning, pricing narratives, competitive plays, and launch plans to the distinct buying behaviors, decision-makers, and adoption patterns within each segment.
  • Product Messaging & Positioning: Own the creation of value propositions, messaging frameworks, positioning statements, and thought leadership for NetDocuments’ product portfolio — including the legal context graph, ndMAX AI, Smart Answers, document automation, security, and collaboration solutions — aligned to segment-specific buyer personas and use cases.
  • Market Research & Segment Intelligence: Understand, monitor, and analyze the overall legal technology market, unique dynamics of each segment, product/market fit of our solutions, key buyer personas, and emerging trends. Develop a clear voice of the customer for internal stakeholders through research, customer advisory boards, and field feedback.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Lead competitive intelligence efforts across all segments. Identify and monitor top competitors, conduct win-loss analyses, share findings with product teams and executives, develop competitive positioning, and incorporate insights into sales enablement, marketing programs, and collateral.
  • Sales Enablement: Support the sales organization by communicating segment-specific value through the development of briefing documents, battle cards, training presentations, pitch decks, case studies, sales plays, and other tools. Ensure sales teams are equipped to engage each segment with relevant messaging and proof points.
  • Product Launches: Drive launch and go-to-market strategies in close collaboration with product management, sales, content, demand generation, and other teams. Manage internal readiness, develop external launch plans, and coordinate cross-functional execution to ensure successful launches across all segments.
  • Marketing Content & Campaigns: Assist the marketing team with segment-relevant messaging in core collateral such as web copy, brochures, videos, presentations, webinars, events (including Inspire), eBooks, and infographics. Partner on marketing plan execution from branding through demand generation.
  • Analyst & Industry Relations: Work with industry analysts, associations, and influencers to position NetDocuments as the category leader across all customer segments.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop a team of product marketers. Build a data-driven, high-performance culture focused on achieving quantifiable outcomes and professional growth.

What You Will Bring to the Team

  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to develop and motivate individuals to their full potential
  • Passion for understanding distinct customer segments and tailoring strategy to each — from strategic AM Law 200 firms to small firms and corporate legal departments

  • Building a data-driven environment focused on achieving quantifiable outcomes
  • Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative market feedback
  • Organizational and project management proficiency
  • Attention to detail and strong presentation skills
  • Adaptability to the styles and needs of different stakeholders — sales, product, marketing, and executive leadership

What You Will Need for Success

Required:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
