JOB SUMMARY
The CT Technician is responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) technology to produce diagnostic images of internal structures for the evaluation of injuries, diseases, and conditions. This role involves performing CT scans following established protocols, obtaining patient history, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure. The CT Technician collaborates closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform CT imaging procedures to produce clear, high-quality diagnostic images according to protocols established by radiologists.
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure.
- Obtain and document relevant patient history and explain standard procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring it functions properly and complies with safety and quality standards.
- Perform specialized scans, such as obstetric and gynecological scans, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization.
- Monitor patients during scans to ensure safety and proper positioning.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to interpret scan results and provide high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures, patient history, and imaging results.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and organizational policies to minimize exposure risks.
- Perform regular quality checks and routine maintenance on CT equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor or manager.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
(Licensures AND Certifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiologic Technology required.
- CT technology certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a radiology or diagnostic imaging environment preferred.

- Commitment to patient safety and comfort, with knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
