About the Program

We're launching our 2025 Engineering Internship Program, a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity designed for aspiring engineers who want to build real products, ship meaningful features, and accelerate their path into a full-time role. Over the course of 12 weeks, you’ll work closely with experienced engineers, gain hands-on mentorship, contribute directly to production systems, and help solve real challenges across NewsBreak's ecosystem. This is a paid, on-site internship based in our Mountain View headquarters. Top-performing interns will be considered for full-time offers at the conclusion of the program.

MSP Monetization – Mountain View, CA

MSP is our next-generation, AI-powered monetization platform that empowers publishers to unlock their full revenue potential with unmatched transparency and control. It combines intelligent optimization, real-time insights, and seamless ad management to help publishers confidently scale their business and maximize long-term growth.

Newsletter Systems – Mountain View, CA

Aigeon.ai is an exciting new product built by NewsBreak, the leading platform for local news and information serving tens of millions of users across the United States. Aigeon is reimagining the newsletter and content-monetization space via AI: simplifying creation, audience growth, and monetization of newsletters for content creators and small media brands. 

NBot – Mountain View, CA

Drive the optimization of conversational experiences that power our next-generation news recommendation engine, enabling more personalized, intuitive, and intelligent user interactions.

AI Initiatives – Mountain View, CA

This initiative explores cutting-edge NLP, generative AI, and multimodal technologies to power the next generation of content intelligence. The project includes building AI-driven content generation capabilities that significantly expand the content supply while enhancing accuracy, quality, and user relevance. The goal is to create scalable AI systems that deliver meaningful impact to tens of millions of NewsBreak users.

Foundational Requirements:

  • Currently in the final semester of a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science (or a closely related field), or recently graduated from a top-tier university.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework, academic research, or hands-on projects in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, NLP, Recommendation Systems, or Large Language Models
  • Experience using ML frameworks and tools (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, model training, or evaluating ML models
  • Prior internships or project experience involving ML-powered features, AI agents, or AIGC systems

We’re seeking builders with diverse technical backgrounds, whether you’re a full stack engineer, machine learning engineer, or mobile engineer, who are excited to solve real problems with cutting-edge AI technologies. If you’re passionate about the latest advancements in AI, have built your own apps or projects, or naturally think with an entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset, you’ll thrive in this program.
