Director: Stadium Infrastructure, Logistics and Operations

The NFL Is hiring a Director of Stadium Infrastructure to oversee the stadium infrastructure readiness and maintenance while ensuring all stadiums are game ready.  This includes managing vendors, establishing strong, trustworthy relationships with stadium personnel, and driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.  This role is based onsite at our New York offices.   

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the VP of Football Technology to manage the relationship and business request intake from Football Operations, Game Operations and Broadcasting.
  • Manage all Game Day Assistant (GDA) staffing programs and operations.  
  • Oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of stadium infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Manage all aspects of stadium operations, including infrastructure setup, certification of stadiums to ensure game readiness, collaborating with security, and emergency response with disaster recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with vendor partners to ensure equipment management is up to date and on par with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with events, broadcasting, football operations teams to ensure seamless execution of the game, from pre-event planning to post-event debriefs.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectivenes
  • Travel extensively to scale the games internationally
  • Lead and manage a team of operations and logistics staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
  • Manage budgets and financial planning for stadium operations and logistics, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including sports teams, event organizers, vendors, and local authorities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve stadium operations and logistics processes to enhance the overall event experience for attendees.
  • Thoroughly evaluate vendor tools, work with issuing RFP’s as required to ensure consistent high level of game execution

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in stadium infrastructure, operations, and logistics management, with a focus on sports events.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in vendor management and building trusted relationships
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office software and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of Stadium Technology

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Advanced degree or certifications preferred
  •  10 years of management experience 

 

Travel:  

  • Greater than 50% travel, both domestic and international. 

 

Salary / Pay Range:  

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.  

 

 

Salary

$165,000 - $200,000 USD
