Instructional Designer

NMI’s Sales Enablement Team is seeking a dynamic and motivated Instructional Designer to join our dedicated group, focused on helping NMI’s Sales teams and Partners grow into more effective customer champions. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to empowering others. Your primary focus will be on creating and developing engaging instructional materials, while also contributing to the broader success of our sales enablement efforts. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Channel Marketing, and Partner Enablement, you will deliver impactful training content for both internal and external audiences. This role will play a critical part in driving the continuous growth and development of our organization.

In this position, you will create engaging and effective instructional materials tailored to our diverse sales teams and partners. This role demands creativity, technical expertise, and a focus on producing content for different regions and audience levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create instructional materials, including lessons, guides, and presentation decks, for various learning paths tailored to both internal and external audiences.
  • Report to Sales Enablement and collaborate with Partner Enablement, Product, and Channel Marketing to align content strategies.
  • Continue developing your skills and knowledge of NMI’s solutions, internal infrastructure, and industry methodologies to enhance content and delivery.
  • Regularly update existing and new content in our content repository platform in collaboration with marketing teams.
  • Utilize all available resources to create engaging content, tailoring it to different internal and external audiences, including learners with varying levels of payments experience.
  • Develop and adapt content to meet the unique requirements of our sales staff in different locations and across the diverse range of products they sell, as well as to support our support team's needs.
  • Support the bi-weekly Enablement Presentations hosted by Sales & Partner Enablement by fielding questions, managing recordings, and uploading and sharing the meeting recording and deck to Seismic.
  • Oversee user management within our enablement systems, ensuring proper access and permissions across platforms.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of both new and existing employees, setting them up with the necessary permissions and access.
  • Serve as a point of contact for education and system administration, providing ongoing support and guidance to employees. This includes troubleshooting access issues, answering questions related to the enablement systems, and ensuring that all users have the resources and training they need to effectively utilize the tools and platforms available to them.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring all deadlines are met while handling competing priorities.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Instructional Design Expertise: Proven experience in instructional design, with the ability to create engaging and effective learning materials tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Content Development Tools: Proficiency in instructional design tools and platforms, such as Seismic, Lessonly, or similar systems.
  • AI Familiarity: Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or similar products, with the ability to leverage these tools to enhance content creation and delivery.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of technology and the ability to adapt content to various digital formats and platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and present them in an accessible manner.
  • Creativity & Problem-Solving: A creative and analytical mindset, with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, and Partner Enablement.
  • Adaptability: A positive attitude and flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and needs within a fast-paced environment.
  • Onboarding & System Administration: Experience in onboarding employees, managing user permissions, and serving as a point of contact for system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Fintech Payments Experience: Experience in the fintech payments industry is a strong plus, as it will enhance the relevance and impact of the training materials.

 

Please note that for this role you will be required to work US working hours and attendance in the Cape Town office is required.

 

Benefits:

  • Annual salary of R300,000 - R345,000, dependent on experience.
  • 45-hour work week
  • Standard South African Leave policy.
