Clinical Excellence Manager
Position Summary
The Clinical Excellence Manager is key in designing and executing initiatives that elevate the clinician experience at Nomad. This role blends day-to-day engagement, via phone, email, and text, with a high-level collaboration across internal teams to drive excellence in clinical service delivery. Acting as a clinical authority, you will guide and support clinicians to promote high quality, safe patient care and satisfaction throughout their journey with Nomad.
You will work closely with all of the Nomad teams to ensure optimal clinical management, consistently reinforcing a culture of quality care, operational integrity, and a highly reliable organization mindset. A commitment to ethical standards and regulatory compliance is foundational, as is a focus on delivering excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities/What You Will Do
- Independently review and evaluate clinical qualifications through skills assessments and competencies, clinical interviews, and other candidate screening tools and methods to ensure alignment with role requirements and facility expectations
- Swiftly address and diffuse clinician issues and concerns, providing resolution with mutually acceptable outcomes for all stakeholders
- Provide successful competency exam remediation and ongoing educational support as required for clinicians
- Identify, recommend, and drive process improvements in collaboration with peers and colleagues to improve the clinician experience and drive operational efficiencies
- Foster strong internal and external relationships that enable productive interactions with clients, clinicians, and cross-functional teams
- Provide support, direction, and evidence-based clinical guidance as required for Nomad clinicians (nurses and allied health professionals) at the bedside, to extend Nomad’s culture and ultimately promote high-quality, safe patient care, and the best clinician experience
- Track and trend clinical coaching metrics, KPIs, and team-defined watch metrics. Make recommendations based on this analysis
- Send and process clinician's performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed
- Take ownership of initiatives that align with Nomad’s mission and strategic plan
- Monitor compliance and legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards
- Maintain compliance and reporting across clinician and facility evaluations
- Be available for clinician questions and issues via phone, email, and text
- Support and advocate for our travel nurses and allied health staff throughout their journey from job search to working an assignment
Qualifications/ Skills - What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of healthcare experience as either a registered professional nurse, radiology technologist, surgical technologist or other allied health degree/licensure
- 3+ years in a leadership or coaching role
- Active or previously held clinical license in good standing (active license preferred, specifically a compact license)
- Excellent knowledge of clinical standards and state regulations in the clinical field
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to guide, influence, and support others
- A critical thinker with demonstrated experience navigating difficult situations related to clinical and behavioral issues
- Skilled at adapting quickly and using data insights to inform recommendations
- Skilled in problem solving, decision-making, and consensus-building both independently and collaboratively
- Building strong, mutually successful relationships with clinicians, clients, and colleagues
Nice-to-haves:
- Prior experience as a Nurse/Department Manager
- Previous experience in healthcare staffing
- Familiarity with clinical interviewing, clinician learning, training, or development
- Background in a fast-paced and start-up environment
- Technology savvy and adaptability to evolving systems and tools

Compensation for this full-time position is between $91,000 to $118,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum amount employees can earn during their time in the role. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on geographic locations, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
