Position Overview: 

To effectively manage the responsibilities related to data analysis, migration strategy, testing, and the various facets of system modernization, several key skills and competencies are essential. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the must-have skills for this role.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analysis of source data, migration strategy & testing, dry runs and migration accuracy KPIs.  
  • Shall have Good knowledge and experience in BSS and CRM managed servces and modernization.
  • Define the detailed Migration Plan which includes:
    • Shutdown/sunset plan for the legacy system 
    • Startup plan for the new system 
  • Detailed migration steps 
  • Detail plan for parallel operation 
  • Detailed Concept for Data Conversion 
    • Data Mapping – conversion rules 
    • Data Cleanup 
    • Data extraction from legacy systems 
    • Planning of Catch-Up Phases / Concept to minimize the Business Impact during migration downtimes 
  • Planning and execution of the Migration Tests (Concepts, test cases, …)
  • Execute  Quality Assurance and Risk Management Strategy.



Must Have Skills:

  • Overall 10+years of  experience with relevant 6+ years of experience strong analytical skills to assess source data and develop effective migration strategies.
  • Experience in defining and implementing testing methodologies for migration processes, including dry runs and establishing migration accuracy KPIs.
  • Knowledge of BSS and CRM: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Business Support Systems (BSS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, including their managed services and modernization processes.
  • Ability to create detailed plans for decommissioning legacy systems, ensuring a smooth transition without disrupting business operations.
  • Skills to develop and execute plans for bringing new systems online, including configuration, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Expertise in outlining all steps involved in the migration process, from preparation to execution and post-migration validation.
  • Experience in planning and managing parallel operations to ensure continuity and minimize disruption during migration.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies used for data migration, data conversion, and system integration
  • Excellent project management skills to coordinate various aspects of the migration process, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business stakeholders.

Qualification:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical degree.
