About the Role:

Nomiso’s is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst who excels in uncovering meaningful insights and crafting compelling stories from data. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in data visualization tools, and the ability to create visually stunning and impactful dashboards and reports. As a Senior Data Analyst, he/she will play a crucial role in analyzing complex data streams, extracting actionable insights, and presenting them to leadership and stakeholders. 

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Tableau, Python, Plotly, and other data visualization and storytelling tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.

  • Communicate complex data findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Work closely with business leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and create metrics-driven reports and visualizations to track business performance.

  • Conduct ad-hoc data analyses and deep-dive investigations to support business initiatives and answer critical business questions.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior data analysts, assisting them in developing their analytical and storytelling skills.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data visualization techniques and tools.

  • Architect analytical deep dives on historical data 

  • Run ad hoc analysis to answer business questions

  • Work cross functionally to communicate the findings to different stakeholders

Must Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst, with a focus on quantitative analysis and data visualization

  • Expertise in Excel pertaining to statistical, and graphical, analysis

  • Experience communicating with stakeholders, and presenting findings to assist with business solutions

  • Expertise in data visualization and storytelling tools to create impactful visualizations and reports, preferably Tableau or PowerBI

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.

  • Expertise in SQL for data manipulation, and analysis.

  • Excellent data storytelling abilities, with the skill to transform complex data into compelling narratives and visualizations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex business problems.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in mentoring and providing guidance to junior data analysts, fostering their growth and development.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.

Nice to Have:

    • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science.

    • Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis techniques and machine learning algorithms.

    • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, preferably AWS 

    • Proficiency in Python and R programming language for data analysis and visualization.

    • Certification in Tableau, PowerBI or other relevant data visualization tools.
