Position Overview: 

As our Engineer (Back End), you'll be responsible for building new features, enhancing the existing ones as well as supporting them in production. You will also be responsible for building reusable libraries or technology platforms that address multiple use cases. You will work towards delivering specific milestones and objectives in a very dynamic environment. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work along with development team leads on assigned tasks. 
  • Communicate effectively and work with limited guidance from the leads. 
  • A Team player and willing to explore new technologies. 
  • Able to handle the daily challenges of the fast paced technical environment. 

Must Have Skills:

  • Overall 2+ years of Software development experience using Golang including strong understanding of software engineering principles 
  • 1+ years of experience developing low-latency microservices 
  • 1+ years of experience deploying and managing containerized applications, preferably using GCP/AWS Kubernetes Services 
  • Experience with microservice unit, integration, and load testing.
  • Experience developing streaming capabilities in Kafka or Kinesis is an added advantage. 
  • Ability to work in a Linux environment

Good to Have Skills:

  • Experience with alerting and monitoring tools (New Relic, CloudWatch, etc.) 
  • 1 year of experience working with distributed data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Flink etc) for building efficient, large-scale big data pipelines
  • Experience Implement data ingestion pipelines both real time and batch using best practices 
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra

Qualification:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical degree.
