Reports To: Corporate Controller
Location: On Site at our Home Office in Meridian, ID
Schedule: 20-25 hours/week Tuesday-Thursday; Flexible Hours
Compensation: $20-25/hour

POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Northpoint team, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for assisting the Controller with maintaining the day-to-day accounts payable functions and performing general accounting functions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Review invoices and statements, verify information, determine accounts, and accurately code transactions in the accounting system
- Deliver on operational goals within assigned area and ensure timely and accurate completion of work
- Post accounts payable transactions to general ledger
- Post and balances subsidiary ledgers or accounts
- Verify math accuracy, internal consistency and completeness of accounting documents
- Trace transactions through system and research issues to determine sources of discrepancies and make necessary corrections
- Assist in the preparation of accounting statements or reports
- Work queue and process workflows to ensure production and performance goals are met
- Maintain files and make sure that necessary documentation is received and filed
- Develop monthly accruals based on analysis of expense and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare annual 1099’s
- Answer accounting related questions by researching and interpreting procedures, inputs, and results
- Assist with audit process by pulling invoice copies and other accounting records as requested
- Prepare and/or review all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
- Process credit card charges and travel expense review
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
- Other appropriate services and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience required (Healthcare or Behavioral Health environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
- Experience with a growing company with multiple entities preferred
- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems required (Sage Intacct preferred)
