North Point Technology is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to own, harden, and scale enterprise GEOINT capabilities for NGA’s Chinook modernization. You’ll drive end-to-end systems engineering, guide architecture and standards across the enterprise, and ship secure, cloud-ready solutions that accelerate analysts and mission partners worldwide.
Locations: Gaithersburg, MD (primary); Alexandria, VA; Chantilly, VA; Aurora, CO; St. Louis, MO; Tucson, AZ
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility; able to obtain Polygraph
Responsibilities

Serve as senior technical lead and advisor on enterprise SE strategy, architectures, and processes.

Develop/manage system requirements, design docs, ICDs, and verification strategies.

Lead technical working groups, reviews, and decision boards with Customer, partners, and contractors.

Perform architectural assessments and trade studies for performance, risk, and compliance.

Integrate emerging tech (cloud services, data analytics) into operational GEOINT workflows.

Oversee adoption of MBSE practices and toolchains (e.g., Cameo).

Mentor mid- and junior engineers; enforce best practices and standards across delivery.
Basic Qualifications

U.S. citizenship (per contract).

Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8–12 years’ experience; or Master’s with 6–10 years.

Deep knowledge of SE principles, tools, and techniques across the full lifecycle.

Proven success on large, complex government/defense programs (IC/DoD preferred).

Familiarity with the Customer’s mission, architecture, and data systems.

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving technical execution.

Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

INCOSE ESEP/CSEP, CISSP, Security+, or similar credentials.

Hands-on experience in Agile/SAFe/DevSecOps environments.

Experience on the Customer’s programs.

Proficiency with MBSE (Cameo), DoDAF/UAF, and SysML.

Familiarity with AWS, C2S, or similar government cloud platforms.
