Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).
About The Role:
As a Marketing Strategy & Operations Leader, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's marketing agenda. You will be expected to supervise the marketing operations, develop holistic marketing strategies, and ensure that they are aligned with the company's overall strategic direction. The Marketing Strategy & Ops Lead will define and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and stay up to date on industry trends and best practices. They will need to have strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Achieve:
- Lead a best in class marketing operations function globally: Oversee all marketing operations, globally, and develop a cutting edge approach to target setting, campaign ops, measurement, lead scoring, attribution, etc. that is calibrated to our unique business model across B2C, B2B2C and B2B.
- Operations strategy: Partner closely with GTM leadership to chart marketing’s course from our current operating state to our target state as defined in company and department OKRs. Surface tradeoffs, provide insights and roadmap our systems infrastructure.
- Measurement and insights: Execute and deliver accurate forecasts, deep insights, improved lead scoring analyses and reliable reporting on the effectiveness of all marketing activities. Build KPI reviews that identify risks and trends, enabling data-driven decisions across all levels.
- Data, Process & Tooling: Design scalable and intuitive core marketing processes that support visibility, insight, budget tradeoffs and timely reporting. Partner with Data and BizTech to streamline daily team operations while defining system requirements for Notion’s future scale and capabilities. You’ll recommend and prioritize key pieces of technology that will accelerate the marketing roadmap
- Functional collaboration: Develop close relationships with other departments such as finance, sales and product to ensure marketing strategies are well-aligned with the overall business goals
- Teaming and culture: Foster a productive and collaborative work environment within the marketing team and with other departments. Embody our values and develop strong relationships across the business.
Skills You'll Need to Bring:
- Proven experience in a similar role: At least 8-10 years of experience leading RevOps teams at growth phase B2B SaaS companies including at least 5 years leading marketing operations teams.
- MarOps expertise: You are an expert on cutting edge software and methods and have a proven track record of executing on marketing strategies across channels.
- Strong project management skills: Proven track record of defining and delivering complex work product on time. You should be able to plan, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
- Strong analytical skills: You have advanced skills in Excel, Salesforce, marketing automation systems and deep experience with BI tools (such as Tableau, Hex). Prior expertise with SQL and Python are not required but preferred.
- Executive presence and high EQ: This is a leadership role working closely with senior stakeholders. You must be able to express complex ideas simply for various audiences verbally and in writing.
- Proven track record of hiring and managing high-performing and highly collaborative marketing operations teams.

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $260,000 per year.
