Mental Health Therapist (LCSW or LCPC), part-time

At North Shore Pediatric Therapy in Evanston, IL, we're looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as a pediatric Mental Health Therapist (LCSW or LCPC). You will perform psychosocial assessments and contribute to the interdisciplinary plan of care by developing and implementing a plan of care/treatment plan that provides extraordinary care for the patient while being sensitive to costs and resources.

We are looking for someone with weekday, after-school and evening availability (3:00pm-7:00pm) and Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm. This is a part-time position.

Your role as a Mental Health Therapist:

Our interdisciplinary approach means that you will collaborate with other Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Neuropsychologists. As a member of our team, you will:

  • Complete screenings, provide written assessment and ongoing reports throughout the course of treatment for pediatric clients, some screenings may happen outside of template hours
  • Make appropriate cross referrals to other disciplines as needed
  • Interpret medical reports and write appropriate treatment plans and formulate functional goals
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and advocate for client and family, as needed
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as doctors, teachers, and pediatric therapists, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Clearly explain behavior function, intervention, and treatment strategies to families
