Responsibilities

Our interdisciplinary approach means that you will collaborate with other pediatric therapists, including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Neuropsychologists, Speech Language Pathologists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

  • Collaborate closely with our occupational therapist to execute tailored therapy plans for our diverse clientele.
  • Perform comprehensive client assessments to gauge their needs and monitor progress.
  • Aid clients in daily activities aimed at boosting their independence and overall well-being.
  • Diligently document all client progress and any notable changes in their condition, ensuring precise and timely reports.
  • Foster effective communication with the therapy team and clients' families to guarantee coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Stay abreast of the latest occupational therapy practices and advancements, continuously seeking to enhance the quality of our services.

Requirements

  • Hold an Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Certification and registration as a COTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Possess current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Demonstrate 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for previous pediatric setting work.
  • Show a solid understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, with a proven ability to implement therapy plans efficiently.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective collaboration with both our therapy team and clients' families.
  • Display a genuine commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring you remain informed about the cutting edge of occupational therapy practices.

  • Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 45lbs pounds.
