Program Manager

Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly

Location/Flexibility: Reston, VA/Dulles, VA

Responsibilities:

  • Advancing the team’s development through effective Agile ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives
  • Oversight and responsibility for Scrum Master and development team’s adherence to Agile best practices for ticket creation, grooming, management, and assignment; defining and managing sprint points and scope; documenting ticket description and acceptance criteria; ensuring that ticket status and comments are current
  • Ensuring systems being developed comply with the enterprise technical architecture, meet scheduled milestones, and achieve KPIs
  • Leveraging the candidate’s excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to provide timely and clear program updates to customer leadership and program documentation

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
  • 8+ years relevant experience
  • Experience leading an Agile Scrum team 
  • Extensive experience with Agile techniques and practices
  • Ability to influence customers, stakeholders, and teams whom one has no direct control over
  • Experience working with ambiguity
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Expert experience in Jira and Confluence
  • Working knowledge and practice of project management concepts and principles
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple specialties in a "one-team" construct
  • Experience across a variety of technical disciplines
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities through prior experience working with senior management to find solutions for customers
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

Desired:

  • Cloud experience, specifically AWS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.
