Full Stack Software Engineer

NTC OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. Working at NT Concepts means that you are part of an innovative, agile company dedicated to solving the most critical challenges in National Security. We’re looking for the best and the brightest to join us in supporting this mission. If meaningful work, initiative, creativity, and continuous self-improvement are important to your career, join our growing team and discover what's next for you.

Mission Focus:

The Naval Air Logistics Office (NALO) currently receives air lift requests via PDFs, emails and phone calls. NALO personnel manually validate the lift request details and manually match these lift requests to available aircraft based on complex business rules to create missions. Due to the manual nature of the process, an enormous amount of time is wasted going back and forth on lift requests and missions. Additionally, many lifts fly empty because the schedule cannot be optimized beyond human calculation.

NTC is developing a full stack application to support the requesters, NALO operators, and the squadrons. The application is built on a microservices architecture with a mobile optimized user interface. It leverages modern technology including Kubernetes based deployments, React JS, Java, Quarkus, MongoDB and Kafka.

Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Location/Flexibility: Vienna, VA with remote flexibility.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our core development team. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining both the frontend and backend components of our innovative airlift optimization platform. This platform will revolutionize how airlift requests are managed, making the process more efficient and effective. You will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience while developing robust and scalable backend systems. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working across the entire technology stack, is passionate about solving complex problems, and has a strong understanding of both frontend and backend technologies.

  • Develop and Maintain Full Stack Features:
    • Design, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend components of the airlift optimization platform.
    • Implement intuitive user interfaces and interactions on the frontend, of a React based application with the Kendo UI framework, working closely with designers to ensure a cohesive user experience.
    • Build robust and scalable backend systems, written in java using the Quarkus framework, to handle airlift request processing, data management, and integration with external services.
    • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with Team Members:
    • Partner with product owners to understand user needs and requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
    • Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and data flow between the frontend and backend.
    • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Problem-Solving and Optimization:
    • Identify and troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack.
    • Optimize application performance and scalability to handle increasing user loads and data volumes.
    • Stay current with the latest frontend and backend technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
