Position Title: SharePoint Online Administrator

Duty Station: Remote in LATAM

6 month contract with likelihood to extend

Overview:

The organization utilizes Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online as core platforms for document management, collaboration, and workflow automation. To ensure the continued reliability, performance, and strategic development of these platforms, there is a need to engage a qualified SharePoint Online Administrator. This role will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s SharePoint Online environment, with additional responsibility for developing and supporting Nintex workflows and forms.

The purpose of this assignment is to ensure that the organization’s SharePoint Online platform is effectively administered, secure, scalable, and supports business operations through well-designed automation and collaboration tools. The incumbent will serve as the lead technical expert and administrator, providing support, governance, and innovation across the SharePoint ecosystem.

Objectives

  • Maintain a stable, secure, and optimized SharePoint Online environment.
  • Enhance business processes using Nintex workflows and forms.
  • Strengthen governance, security, and compliance of SharePoint usage.
  • Support user adoption and promote best practices in collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

The SharePoint Online Administrator will perform the following tasks and responsibilities:

  1. 1. SharePoint Online Administration
  • Manage and configure SharePoint Online sites, site collections, lists, libraries, and permissions.
  • Monitor performance, storage, and usage metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage SharePoint groups, roles, and user access in coordination with Azure Active Directory.
  • Apply security configurations following best practices.
  • Support integration with Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, and other business applications.
  1. 2. Workflow and Process Automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain Nintex Workflows and Nintex Forms to automate business processes.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing workflows and forms to improve efficiency.
  • Document workflow logic, dependencies, and data flows.
  1. 3. Governance and Compliance
  • Implement and maintain SharePoint governance policies, including naming conventions, metadata standards, and access control.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational and data protection standards.
  • Advise management on opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
  1. 4. User Support and Training
  • Provide second- and third-level technical support for SharePoint users.
  • Develop user guides and conduct training sessions to improve adoption.
  • Work closely with business units to translate functional needs into SharePoint solutions.
  1. 5. Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations, workflows, and governance policies.
  • Prepare periodic technical and progress reports on SharePoint system performance and improvement initiatives.

Deliverables

  • A fully functioning and well-maintained SharePoint Online environment.
  • A documented governance framework for SharePoint usage and administration.
  • Active and optimized Nintex workflows and forms supporting business processes.
  • Technical documentation, configuration records, and maintenance logs.
  • Regular reports on system performance, user activity, and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SharePoint Online administration.
  • Proven experience with Nintex Workflows and Nintex Forms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment, Azure Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint governance, permissions, and security management.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate (or equivalent certification).
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with basic web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
