Warehouse Associate
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, takes pride in accuracy and precision and is committed to safety. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that all inventory is received, stored, and shipped correctly and efficiently in support of our operational goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition, report discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders to meet production schedules and shipping in a timely manner.
- Maintain precise inventory records by performing routine cycle counts and ensuring items are properly labeled and stored.
- Organize and maintain warehouse cleanliness, layout, and product placement for optimal space utilization and safety.
- Assist in tracking, labeling, and documentation of materials to support inventory accuracy and regulatory compliance (if applicable).
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided if required).
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure materials are handled and transported according to safety guidelines.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Support other departments with material handling or transfers as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail in repetitive tasks.
- 1+ years of warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking (preferred).
- Forklift certification (if applicable) is a plus.
- Familiarity with lean warehouse practices or 5S a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, as needed.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- The working environment is generally favorable and comprises a warehouse, laboratory and office environment.
- Lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate.
- Personal Protective Equipment is required where stated. This includes a lab coat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk to the different lab areas.
- The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 40 lbs. of materials or equipment.
- Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and chemicals.
