About the role

We are seeking a data-skilled and experienced hands-on manager to join our Operational Risk team. This position plays a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of our Operational Risk Database from a global perspective while spearheading initiatives to enhance our quantitative capabilities within non-financial risk management.

Your mission will involve delivering an Operational Risk Database (BDRO) in accordance with regulatory requirements and further expanding it to a common global approach. This includes internationalization initiatives and driving the implementation of quantitative measures to support data-driven decision-making across risk teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading BDRO Implementation: Oversee the design, development, and global deployment of the Operational Risk Database, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and our overarching risk management framework.
  • Managing Risk Data: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and secure handling of BDRO data, which includes defining data governance standards and promoting best practices throughout the organization.
  • Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with various Business Units (BUs) and Business Areas (BAs) to ensure integration and alignment of the BDRO.
  • Enhancing Quantitative Capabilities: Design and implement quantitative risk assessment mechanisms to improve risk measurement, monitoring, and reporting practices in the non-financial risk domain.
  • Defining and Tracking KPIs and KRIs: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) related to operational risk processes and initiatives.
  • Engaging with Senior Leadership: Regularly interact with senior leadership to provide insights and updates on risk data initiatives, progress, and key findings.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading teams to create and maintain complex data architectures within Nubank.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously, achieving results within tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent proficiency in Portuguese and English (advanced level required for documentation, communication, and meetings).
