As a Controllership Analyst you’re expected to:

  • Monitoring the connection to the Interbank Electronic Payments System (SPEI).
  • SPEI certification and recertification (Bank of Mexico).
  • SPEI reconciliations: intraday, operational, and accounting.
  • Reporting balances according to the PCL (Contingency Plan) at established times and settling the surplus investment as instructed by the Treasury.
  • Updating manuals and controls.
  • Supervising the correct execution and settlement of transactions through the SPEI Dispatcher.
  • Recording transfers and refunds for users and payers.
  • Creating, analyzing, and delivering reports related to SPEI operations.
  • Conducting external audits related to SPEI operations.
  • Defining and mapping SPEI processes.
  • Addressing requirements and communications requested by the Compliance or Legal departments.
  • Understanding the rules and regulations of SPEI operations.
  • Have availability to be on-call, even during weekends (This includes maintenance windows with BANXICO).
  • Funding SPEI account through SIAC.  

We are looking for a Controllership Analyst , who has: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mexican Payments System (SPEI, SPID, SIAC, INDEVAL).
  • Good understanding of regulatory compliance for payments systems in Mexico. 
  • Intermediate English level 
  • Experience in FinOps related teams.
  • Experience working with treasury and accounting teams in financial institutions. 
  • Availability to assist the office everyday.
  • Desirable knowledge in programming languages such as SQL, Scala, and Python, along with a keen interest in expanding data skills.
