Business Analysts are fundamental in the decision process because they must not only be able to deal with large amounts of information and data, but also always think of ways to improve our clients' experience.

It is BA's responsibility to structure the data, analyze it and use the results to test different solutions with the aim of improving Nubank's efficiency.

We are looking for people who are independent and who are not afraid to take the initiative to identify and solve problems that are not necessarily obvious.

As a Business Analyst, you’re expected to:

• Do deep investigative analytical work, deciding which data and metrics make the most sense in each situation. When the data is not readily available, you will design tests and data collection strategies to answer key business questions.
• Support your squad in decision-making by leading complex analyses under high uncertainty, often with intersections across multiple areas (product, engineering, operations, etc.), making the team comfortable taking calculated risks despite ambiguity.
• Work autonomously with large datasets to build a solid analytical foundation for risk-aware decisions – even when not all answers are in the data or not all data you would like to have is available.
• Drive the use of analytical tools such as SQL and Python (and other technologies you’ll learn in your first weeks here) to transform raw data into actionable insights.
• Deeply understand the business and its mechanics, being able to anticipate risks, quantify trade-offs, and design well-structured proposals that improve customer and business outcomes.
• Leverage opportunities to grow and learn from a highly qualified, diverse team, participating in projects that will impact a very large customer base.
• Own end-to-end analytical problems (from framing the question to implementation and monitoring of results).
• Influence senior stakeholders with clear narratives and recommendations.
• Mentor more junior analysts and raise the bar for analytical quality and decision-making in your area.

• Strong analytical skills: experience with data analysis, building hypotheses, understanding the “why” behind the numbers, and translating findings into clear business recommendations.
• Business sense: ability to understand risks, opportunities, and trade-offs, and how different products and areas interact.
• Problem-solving: structured thinking to break down complex, ambiguous problems and design practical, high-impact solutions.
• Customer-centric mindset: clarity on how your decisions impact customer experience, aiming for outcomes aligned with Nubank’s purpose of empowering people.
• Fast learning and adaptability: especially when it comes to tools, data environments, and new business contexts.
• Openness to feedback and continuous development, incorporating learnings into your daily work.
