About You
Nutrafol is seeking a dynamic and versatile Social & Content Producer in the NYC Metro area to join our brand team. This role is central to bringing our brand to life by creating high-quality stories featuring the Nutrafol community. The ideal candidate is a skilled producer with deep story-telling experience that includes developing and sourcing talent, managing end-to-end productions, creating lo-fi and high-production and creating short and long form video. You have a passion for creating strategic brand narratives, managing projects from concept to completion, and using performance insights to drive future success.
This role will report to our Director of Social Media as part of the Community team and will collaborate closely with Creative, Paid Social, Brand, Regulatory, and Retention teams and other key stakeholders to produce impactful and engaging video, photo, and written content.
Responsibilities
- Talent Sourcing & Story Development:
- Develop real community driven stories through sourcing, developing and crafting content narratives based on real found customer, recommender and expert’s stories.
- Develop a pipeline of Nutrafol customers and content creators who align with the brand, ensuring authentic storytelling.
- Develop a production strategy that allows for the brand to connect with and capture a diverse range of stories throughout varying locations and varying product and customer fits.
- Video Production & Content Creation:
- Oversee the full production lifecycle of video and photo shoots, managing every detail from start to finish.
- Plan, produce and execute both live, remote or self shot productions.
- Pre-Production:
- Assure concepts are aligned, on brand, and work across multiple channel needs. Source locations, secure talent, manage budgets, create detailed schedules, and ensure all equipment is prepared and ready for shoots.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure shoots remain within scope.
- Keep productions on schedule, troubleshooting any challenges that arise to meet deadlines.
- Ensure all required production elements (equipment, lighting, sound, props, wardrobe) are on-site and accounted for.
- On-Set Management: Manage shoots, ensuring they run smoothly, stay on schedule, and meet brand and creative goals.
- Post-Production Briefing: Collaborate with channel owners (social, paid, email, SMS) to brief editors on required deliverables and ensure content is aligned with platform specifications, brand guidelines, and key objectives.
- Content Delivery & Feedback Loop:
- Work closely with appropriate stakeholders to ensure all content undergoes review, meets deadlines, and is finalized for publishing.
- Partner with channel owners to ensure the content goes live as planned, on the correct platforms, and meets campaign goals.
- Monitor and report on video performance across all platforms to assess success and identify insights for improvement.
- Use performance data to guide decisions for upcoming shoots, ensuring learnings are incorporated into future productions.
- Data-Driven Optimization:
- Provide post-launch performance analysis for all content, identifying what worked and what didn’t.
- Incorporate performance insights into planning for the next month’s shoot, ensuring continuous improvement in content creation.
- Trendspotting & Innovation:
- Stay ahead of emerging video trends and formats, bringing innovative ideas to help Nutrafol stand out in the health and wellness space.
- Experiment with new formats and styles, leveraging storytelling to engage and convert audiences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of video production experience, preferably within a consumer brand or creative agency; experience in a DTC/wellness brand is a plus
- Experience sourcing and working with real customers and influencers for video content.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, with a deep understanding of video content that drives engagement on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple productions simultaneously.
- A passion for health and wellness, and an understanding of Nutrafol’s core values and brand voice.
- Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and storytelling ability.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $120,000 USD
