Senior Manager, Marketplaces

Jersey City, NJ

Hi, we're Nuts.com!

Nuts.com is a self-funded, profitable, rapidly growing multi-channel DTC specialty food and wellness company with over 550 people on our team. We're changing the landscape of snacking on nuts, dried fruit, chocolate and more! We planted our roots in Newark, New Jersey during the Great Depression, selling premium nuts on Mulberry Street's open-air market. We've come quite a long way since then, taking our multi-generational family business online in 1999. Even after 96 years, we continue to pride ourselves in expertly sourcing the highest quality foods and treating our customers like family.

What's our team like? We're driven, collaborative and entrepreneurial. Energy and passion power our business and we look for candidates who share in that excitement to help us continue to build something special.

The role

As the Senior Manager, Marketplaces, you will lead Nuts.com’s growth across key online marketplaces, with a primary focus on Amazon, Target.com, and Walmart.com. This role will shape and execute the strategy to expand our brand presence, optimize performance, and build scalable operations across these third-party channels.

You’ll be responsible for developing the commercial, operational, and creative frameworks to ensure sustainable growth and premium brand representation on each platform. Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Sales Officer, you’ll work in close partnership with Marketing, Category Managers, and Operations. This is a highly strategic, cross-functional role that combines analytical rigor, creative problem-solving, and strong executional leadership.

What You'll Do

Own the Amazon Channel Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end Amazon strategy and P&L, including: sales, content, advertising, assortment, and pricing, to drive profitable growth.
  • Manage ongoing operational execution in partnership with the internal team and external resources (agencies, overseas execution partners, or in-house support).
  • Lead bi-weekly Amazon performance reviews, covering key metrics, creative testing, assortment opportunities, promotional plans (e.g., Prime Day, Black Friday), and learnings.
  • Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to develop a testing roadmap for content, packaging, and ad creative, ensuring brand consistency and insight sharing across channels.
  • Oversee forecasting, fulfillment by amazon (FBA) inventory management, and replenishment processes to ensure healthy stock levels and minimal disruption.
  • Contribute to the long-term Amazon roadmap, including resourcing models, agency transitions, and alignment with the broader multi-year company growth strategy.

Drive Growth on Target.com and Walmart.com and other current/future marketplaces

  • Lead expansion efforts and performance optimization on Target.com and Walmart.com, focusing on strategic assortment, pricing, and content optimization.
  • Partner with Category Managers to ensure assortments reflect consumer trends, meet profitability targets, and align with brand positioning.
  • Establish scalable marketplace playbooks, ensuring consistent product setup, brand storytelling, and operational excellence across platforms.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to drive traffic and conversion through platform-native promotions, SEO, and media investments.

Forecasting, Operations & Cross-Functional Enablement

  • Own forecasting and demand planning for all marketplace channels, collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure product availability and accurate projections.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to balance inventory priorities across DTC and marketplace channels, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Identify and proactively address operational challenges, such as shipping constraints, algorithm shifts, or channel conflicts, through data-driven solutions and partnership with cross-functional partners.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of internal processes to improve speed-to-market and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Rhythm & Governance

You will play a key role in defining and facilitating the governance cadence for marketplace management:

  • Commercial Touch Base (bi-weekly): Align with Merchandising, Marketing, and Creative leads on marketplace opportunities, new SKUs, and promotions.
  • Operational Stand-Up (bi-weekly): Review forward forecasts, inventory levels, delivery schedules, and upcoming actions.
  • Strategic Alignment (quarterly): Partner with leadership on Amazon roadmap development, aligning marketplace growth goals to the fiscal gap-closure plan and long-term brand objectives.

What You'll Bring
  • 7–10 years of experience in eCommerce, with at least 4 years directly managing Amazon and other online marketplaces.
  • Proven success in building and scaling a brand’s marketplace presence, ideally with Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central experience.
  • Strong analytical, operational, and creative skill set; ability to interpret data and drive decisions that balance brand, performance, and profitability.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external agencies or remote execution partners.
  • Highly organized with exceptional communication skills; able to distill complexity and drive clarity across functions.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, advertising strategy, and merchandising in a marketplace environment.

What we offer:

  • A high-growth and rewarding role in a foundationally strong and rapidly evolving business
  • Annual Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000 plus annual bonus
  • Excellent benefits including a 401K Match
  • Paid Maternity, Adoption and Paternity leave
  • And all the Nuts.com snacks your heart desires + a 40% employee discount

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
