Summary of Position:

NVE Experience Agency seeks a Head of Events who is a problem solver and strong team leader.  This is a dual role in leading and growing our UK presence and delivering industry leading events & experiences in the role of Executive Producer.

The director provides guidance in developing ideas and concepts, creating executable plans, managing project timelines, approving budgets, overseeing profitability and forecasting staffing needs to ensure projects are flawlessly executed within our target margin. The director will maintain strong relationships with freelance support to ensure all projects are staffed appropriately with the best talent for the project.  Additionally, this role will lead all aspects of a program as an executive producer ensuring they are successfully delivered to the client.  Agility, professionalism, attention to detail and grace under pressure are key attributes required for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Global Expansion
    • Grow our UK presence
    • Partner with Client Services team on New Business opportunities
    • Oversee RFP plans and responses
    • Establish departmental ways of working and SoPs for UK/EMEA/Global programs.
  • Project Delivery
    • Oversee your team’s development of project documentation including deliverable timelines, production schedules, run of show, etc.
    • Define project org structures, and staffing requirements
    • Ensure your team provides seamless and flawless on-site execution
    • Lead and supervise your team’s activities to monitor project status and provide feedback
    • Accountable to ensure program is delivered on-time and on-budget
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams and agency partners in managing effective communications between project team members
    • Be an accountable and proactive leader
  • Client Management
    • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are heard, understood, and addressed in a timely manner
    • Provide clear communications to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget and schedules for assigned programs
    • Partner with departmental leaders to align on relationship mapping and fostering of client relationships.
  • Budget Management
    • Develop and manage project budgets
    • Oversee coordination with all internal parties on invoices and vendor payments
    • Reconcile all costs against budgets
    • Support our finance group by ensuring you and your teams are closing out projects in a timely and efficient manner
    • Meet with team to set target margins for each project and ensure those margins are being met
    • Supervise and support Producers in development of project budgets.
    • Maintain accountability, reviewing & approving budget estimates, and ensuring profitability targets are maintained through final budget reconciliations.
  • Team Management
    • Demonstrates ability to build and manage teams
    • Work closely with NVE Global Production leadership to create training and development plans for your team that include annual, biannual, and quarterly goal setting and tracking in performance management system
    • Have regular check-ins with your teams to provide feedback in timely manner   
    • Foster a productive team environment that encourages collaboration and process to ensure all deliverables are meet
    • Provide ongoing mentorship, and training sessions to further grow each individual's career
    • Responsible for ensuring timesheets are completed in a timely manner for all project workstreams whether leading or supervising
    • Interview and hire full time and freelance support to guarantee projects are flawlessly executed within target margin
    • Ensure all team members are on-boarding temporary production staff in accordance with company policy
    • Protect resources on projects accurately utilizing internal and external resources

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of proven event industry production experience required
  • 3+ years of proven experience as an Executive Producer, managing individual budgets in excess of £3.5M
  • Agency experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • B2B Live event production experience.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead teams
  • 4-5 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extraordinary organizational skills, self-motivation and intuition
  • Thrive in a fast paced, agency environment
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft and Apple applications
  • Thorough understanding of permitting standards (Including but not limited to TPA, Special Event, Fire, Health & Safety, Building & Safety, Noise, etc.) and ability to successfully manage production timelines and needs as related to permit procurement
  • Ability to effectively manage tasks across multiple projects/various clients at the same time

Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time while working remotely and in a standing position 50% or more of the time while working offsite
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Have a valid Driver’s License
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally heavier items
  • Available to work weekends and evenings as needed for events
  • Available to travel up to 25% for event delivery & internal offsites.

Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles, New York City, and London, UK. This employee must be located in London, UK.

Salary Estimation: [£90-100k]

This is an exempt role. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
